Design:
Both phones are almost from the point of look, finish and physical size. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus comes with a metal body this gives it a striking look. In terms of size Moto G5 Plus is a bit larger than Moto G5. Both handsets have fingerprint sensor into the oval capacitive home button on the front of the phone and a large rear camera which gives the phone a premium look. Both handsets have a water-repellent coating.
Display:
Moto G5 is comes with a 5-inch flat based display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels and pixel density equals 440ppi. While Moto G5 Plus is comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels and pixel density equals 423ppi. The display of Moto G5 plus is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Cameras:
The G5 is equipped with a 13-megapixel phase-detection autofocus camera with a display flash and aperture equals f/2.2, 1.4µm pixels and front face camera of 5 MP.G5 Plus is equipped with a 12-megapixel sensor with Dual Autofocus Pixels with dual- LED flash for color focusing and front face camera of 5 MP. Camera of G5 plus is able to record 4K video, while the camera of Moto G5 can only record Full HD video.
Hardware and specs:
The Smartphone G5 is packed with 2GB RAM, internal storage (ROM) of 16GB that is expandable via Micro SD card and have 2800mAh battery whereas G5 Plus is packed with 3GB RAM, internal storage (ROM) of 32GB and have a 3000mAh battery.
Software:
Both Handsets runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with Moto Experiences, counting Moto Display and Moto Actions.
